We are a quirky family of creatives from all across UCLA with different backgrounds, drives, talents and majors. The entirely student-run organization runs itself like a real advertising agency, setting out each year to bring the best copywriters, designers, thinkers, editors, photographers and researchers at UCLA into the Bruin AdTeam family.

EXPERIENCED

Bruin AdTeam competes in NSAC, a nationwide competition run by the American Advertising Federation. It’s a real-world experience unlike any other. Companies like Pizza Hut, Snapple, and Ocean Spray outline a comprehensive case study about their product, and teams must research and create complete advertising and communications solutions to pitch to a panel of industry judges.

UCLA's Bruin AdTeam is well-known in the industry, because so many of its members segue seamlessly into the industry immediately after graduation. It's one of the best-regarded student communication organizations in LA. Bruin AdTeam offers a unique experiences and opportunities for its members. 

 
 

National Student Advertising Competition

Each year, the Bruin Advertising and Marketing Team competes in a nationwide competition run by the American Advertising Federation. It’s a real-world experience unlike any other. Companies like Nissan, AOL, Coca-Cola, and State Farm outline a case study about their product. Teams must research and create comprehensive advertising and communications solutions to pitch to a panel of industry judges. Out of over 140 regional competitors, only 18 teams are selected as finalists in the National Competition (where UCLA took first place in 1999). The experience of preparing and presenting real, tangible marketing campaigns gives Bruin AdTeam members the opportunity to gain practical skills while developing their ability to think strategically. It is an experience like no other, and AdTeam works tirelessly to maintain our reputation for innovation, drive, and pure passion for the field.
